The Brief

Since 2006, honey bees are disappearing across the world, putting at at risk crops that are worth more than $200 billion all over the world. The 'Colony Collapse Disorder' or CCD results in the bees suddenly fleeing their hive and ending up dead. And if CCD continues, the consequences for the agricultural economy — and even for our ability to feed ourselves — could be dire. 'Currently, the survivorship of honeybee colonies is too low for us to be confident in our ability to meet the pollination demands of U.S. agricultural crops,' a USDA report said.

Creative Execution

A film of such executional level is rarely seen in the non-profit world. The suspension of disbelief that it produces is the most powerful way to present the message and raise awareness of the problem.

Describe the creative solution to the brief/objective.

Scientists all over the world (Harvard, Berlin), have come up with a solution. But the question is : is this the solution we should be looking for? To discover the solution and the potential results, please watch the film that is a presentation of the solution.

Results

The discussion is now a reality. In just a few hours, most of the important websites that deal with technology and news picked up and relayed the story (Gizmodo, Huffington Post, Motherboard). The debate is raging on the internet, forums, twitter : should we have robot bees or should we preserve the planet? The real results remain to be seen.?
