The Brief

In Germany, advertising campaigns for delivery vans are in the spotlight again and again. In Switzerland, on the other hand, this category of vehicle is leading the existence of a wallflower. Agentur am Flughafen wanted to ask commercial vehicle importers who sell their delivery vans to medium-sized companies to work together with Switzerland’s leading B2B agency and create outstanding advertising.

Describe the creative solution to the brief/objective.

A personal delivery-van floor mat was sent to a carefully selected number of commercial vehicle importers. The mailing text was printed directly on the floor mat and invited the recipient to switch their future client marketing for commercial vehicles to the leading Swiss B2B agency and in the process exchange the floor mat for an award-worthy red one.

Results

The floor mats were well received. In addition to thank-you e-mails and prospective appointments from 30% of the recipients, one of the most well-known German commercial vehicle brands immediately commissioned a dialog marketing campaign from Agentur am Flughafen. Within only two weeks, the first two orders from the brand’s car division were placed. (Off the record for the jury: ROI within two months was approximately 100,000 euros.)
