Results and Effectiveness

Tourists from all over the world got stunning photographic souvenirs, many of which were uploaded on social networks like facebook, twitter and instagram. This way visitBerlin got a lot of attention and Berlin's museums got a significant increase of visitors.

Creative Execution

The Berlin Wall attracts thousands of visitors every day. We used this attention for spectacular projections along the former border. Therefore we built custommade metal-boxes and placed special projectors in them. Triggered by the flashes of photo cameras the projectors threw images right on the surface of the Berlin Wall.

Insights, Strategy and the Idea

Insight: The Berlin Wall is one of the most photographed landmarks worldwide, but hardly anyone knows the dramatic history of the former border. Strategy: Create awareness for the city's museums while letting tourists discover Berlin's history by themselves. Idea: A surprising technology turned the last remaining sections of the wall into projection screens. The projections were invisible to the human eye. Only through the flash of cameras, historical images appeared on the tourists fotos. This way we turned normal sightseeing-tours into thrilling time travels.
