The Campaign

The activation of our campaign started in a special edition of BILD, which was delivered to 42 million households in Germany for free. The print ad leads to a dedicated promotion site, which offers the order form for special branded cardboard goggles and an explanation of all details how to setup a mobile phone to take part into the VR journey. The user has three options to take part: 1. Cardboard (YouTube 360 channel) 2. Samsung Gear VR (mobile app) 3. 2D 360 (smartphone only on YouTube 360 channel) The content (11 destinations) was very well chosen across Germany. The experience of high quality content and storytelling makes it entertaining as well. Because of the big media impact, there was a huge coverage of PR to push the positive conversations.

One of the biggest newspapers in Germany, BILD, is the perfect platform to get the attention of nearly all Germans. The perfect moment was the 25th anniversary of the German Reunification, where the VR Technology helps to remind what the biggest gift for all citizens is: Freedom. “VR the future” is a journey across Germany in 25 minutes that gives the opportunity to experience this freedom like never before. An innovative way to combine a new technology with relevant content in an entertaining way.
