The Campaign

To make the OST of Málaga City , Malaga citizens were asked about the sounds of his city through social networks. We walked the streets recording the most typical sounds. And we talked with the Malaga music composer Arturo Díez, to transform those sounds in a perfect score. The gulls were violins. The trot of the horses became percussion . The skateboards became castanets. The bells , trombones . And the waves were eventually double bass. The result was an unprecedented piece of music. The Malaga Symphony Orchestra was premiered live soundtrack the first weekend of the festival, in front of a large number of people and many media. Later, we launched content on social networks, a content that within hours, would become a real viral.

The campaign was shared and commented by more than 170,000 people . Appreciating that Malaga is a city of just over 500,000 inhabitants , it represents more than 30 % of the population. The #bsodeMálaga was trending topic and the words "pride" and "long live Málaga " the most pronounced for people.

The OST of Málaga is the first soundtrack of a city. A soundtrack made from all the sounds you hear in the city during the Festival of Spanish Cinema . A campaign made by the Cruzcampo beer brand , because of its sponsorship of the Festival and with the aim of strengthening the link between the brand with the city.
