Brief Explanation

The Oral-B brand is a worldwide leader in the over $5 billion brushing market. Part of the Procter & Gamble Company since 2006, the Oral-B brand includes manual and power toothbrushes for children and adults, oral irrigators, oral care centers and interdental products, such as dental floss. Oral-B toothbrushes are used by more dentists than any other brand worldwide.

The Brief

The brief was to create engaging, shareable content that would help people reconsider the importance of oral care during the Christmas period.

How the final design was conceived

Our insight was that most advertising shows a flawless, perfect version of Christmas. But the reality can be quite different, with stressful and difficult moments. Oral-B products look after our teeth, enabling us to have a great smile at Christmas whatever the circumstances.

Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market

Sound design was at the heart of our solution. We created a film that captured the imperfect moments at Christmas, rather than showing the flawless festive season found in most ads. The beeps that block out swear words uttered by each character are timed to play the melody of a Christmas carol.
