The Campaign
Inferno takes the viewer on a journey through the levels of modern hell.
Using the endline "Hol mich hier raus"; (Get me out of here" t;) we have created a modern interpretation of Dante's Inferno, a journey through the different levels of hell.
Such as the addiction to our smartphones, genetically modified food, blind obedience or surveillance. Topics that are omnipresent in today's world. But there's light at the end of the tunnel as reading (Falter) provides you with the only escape from the madness — knowledge.
The ad was brought to life in an animated dark and gritty black and white advert which shows a dystopian future (or present?) with people burning books, being trapped in their smartphones or swamped with work with deadlines looming. The ad was crafted with a combination of traditional and digital media which allowed the necessary freedom in production and animation while keeping the roughness of analogue drawings.
