In the lead up to the release, this Luke Scott directed viral campaign with 3AM featured a personal tour of the Ares3 and and introduction to the mission crew.
This 3-minute film helmed by Mark Watney (Damon) gives viewers an introduction to the crew of the Hermes shuttle as the vessel travels to Mars. Shot from a handheld point of view, the film evokes a genuine feeling of intimacy, creating a sense of realism by allowing the audience to familiarise with the characters.
