The Campaign

Rise follows a team of young streetballers as they step up from their local barangay courts to the bright lights of the national stage. The journey begins with a nationwide search for players, and 24 chosen are brought to Manila to eat, sleep, and breathe basketball under the leadership of former Philippines national team head coach Chot Reyes. Each player must learn how to overcome their adversities, because eliminations await, and only 12 of them will make it to the final team. There to mentor them along the way are some of the world’s best athletes. NBA All-Star Paul George helps the players believe in themselves, national basketball legend Jimmy Alapag shows how to adapt their street style to the wooden court, and national hero Manny Pacquiao teaches them that in order to become a champion you need to have dedication and heart. In their last week of training, Team Rise is taken to one of the country’s biggest arenas with basketball superstar LeBron James to get the confidence they need to rise to their final challenge: a live televised game against a team of Nike All-Stars in front of the nation’s best coaches and scouts.
