Brief Explanation
In Switzerland, it used to be that if you missed delivery of a parcel at home, you had to go to the post office to collect it the next day. However, since 2015, Swiss Post has been offering a new service: you can now receive missed consignments wherever you are.
The idea: We surprised passers-by in Lucerne with parcels on wheels. Each mobile special delivery looked for a random person and gave them a little gift. That way, people could receive a parcel right there on the street where they were and they experienced our new service.
Results and Effectiveness
30,000 surprised pedestrians who experienced the new service
2,000,000 views on Facebook and YouTube.
Creative Execution
A team of 30 professional remote-controlled-car drivers piloted 30 modified parcels through the crowded city of Lucerne. We documented the live stunt with hidden cameras and published it on Facebook and YouTube.
Insights, Strategy and the Idea
We surprised people with a parcel at a location they would never expect. The idea was to show people that they don’t have to go to the post office to receive a missed consignment.
