Brief Explanation

Based on the idea that the "medium is the message", we developed a special crafted piece of print to promote “Sushi Fest”. We used a space normally overlooked: the page margins. In those areas we printed images of sushi ingredients. And a back cover with nori seaweed texture. Then we rolled it like a Japanese sushi roll and sent this surprise to “Gin Lovers” magazine subscribers. A print ideia that opens new frontiers on the media use.

Results and Effectiveness

More than 5.000 persons attended the Sushi Fest Event and the Gin Lovers Magazine subscribers were a great part of it.

Creative Execution

"Sushi Fest" is Europe’s first traditional sushi festival. How to advertise it on a magazine in a non-traditional way? We used all the magazine to promote this festival, on a fresh way of presented it to the “Gin Lovers” subscribers: transforming the magazine to a sushi roll.

Insights, Strategy and the Idea

Sushi and gin are interests of an urban and sophisticated target. The same that “Sushi Fest” defined as main target. By advertising on “Gin Lovers” magazine we can garante that this audience is reached easily.
