Creative Execution
Ray-Ban x Reflections was activated on social media channels and allows Ray-Ban fans to share their photos and contribute to an inspirational visual universe with their personal Reflections. The app is the tool to interaction and participation.
Further engagement is encouraged by using the user generated content online, delivering a micro brand environment where co-creators find each other and get mutually inspired through this collaborative interaction.
The Reflections are used throughout different media channels to showcase the inspirational visual Ray-Ban universe. The brand curates the content and inspires with amazing fan pictures created with the app.
Launched at the end of January 2015, the #Reflections app has been downloaded well over 50,000 times. And tens of thousands of #Reflections have already been created. The concept was shared on social media and featured on various websites and blogs throughout the world wide web like Contagious, Marketing Land, Adformatie and others. And, the app was rewarded with a Mobile of the Day by The FWA.
How can we create a digital concept that lets Ray-Ban engage with the online world of the consumer? By letting the brand intertwine with the world of filters, selfies and panorama shots. Drawing on the popularity of fans taking photos with reflections in their Ray-Ban sunglasses, the #Reflections app was created. A mobile concept for micro social networking and community building that utilises a photo app that uses the back and front camera.
Just tap and hold and the app will automatically blend your images. Then use filters modeled after the Ray-Ban glasses to enhance your reflections. The app lets you shoot, edit and share unique double exposure pictures and fits the lifestyle of Ray-Ban fans perfectly: giving them the possibility to create their own stunning artwork on a device they know best.
