Creative Execution

We updated already existing McDonalds games, while new ones will come out with this feature already included. ?Move Update is going beyond branded content. We encourage all the game developers to implement the code in their own games, it's available for free as an open source project on GitHub platform.

We're currently working on implementation of Move Update into commercial mobile games including: 'Xyber Mech' from One2Tribe, 'Omnomster' from MadeItApp and mobile blockbuster 'Godfire: Rise of Prometheus' by Platige Image and Vivid Games.

On average teenagers spent over 20 hours a week playing games on their devices. That's another 20 hours with no physical activity. Lack of movement and an inactive lifestyle is a growing problem among young people and gaming is a major part of the issue. As a developer of branded games, McDonalds wanted to inspire a shift in the gaming industry. Move Update is the world's first environment turning real life data collected by fitness apps into mobile games bonuses. All you have to do is connect the game with your fit app account - today it works with RunKeeper, Fit Bit and Strava. From now on, the more you move in real life the more powerful, faster and stronger you become in the games. We created an universal algorithm that converts data from every activity and discipline into bonuses and power-ups in McDonald's games.
