SFX: The speaker’s voice morphs from an old man to a little boy during the radio ad.
SFX: The convivial ambience fades out as the radio ad progresses, and toward the end, a menacing, threatening tone takes over.
VO: The sun’s out today. Our kids and grandkids are running around playing football and yeah, you know, sometimes I just think, wow, what we´ve been blessed with living in this great house out in the country, right next to our doctor’s practice. We built it ourselves. I always look back and think that me and my wife, of course, we couldn't have wished for a better life. Sheila and I, well, we met at university. I remember it clear as day, you know, like it was yesterday. I looked at her. She looked at me. Wow, I was nervous, you know. All the boys were in on it, even the ref. They stopped the game, brought her to the center of the pitch, and... yeah, I asked her and she said yes. So we ended up losing the final but you know... I won something better didn't I? Football has always been my greatest passion in life. We used to have a field out in front of our school. Back then we used to play every single minute of every single day. I can remember, you know, after we fled to Germany, it must have been my 8th birthday, some guys took me into their football team. It was probably one of the best days of my life back then. You know, I finally, felt this sense of belonging. Unfortunately we never celebrated any of my birthdays, I never got to experience the feeling of belonging and happiness. I’m only 5 years old and they sent me back to Syria. My name is Amir… and I'm already dead.
