The Campaign
It all start with the good news: our locals hotels were fully booked during Hellfest, one of Europe’s leading music festivals. We received so many inquiries that we decided to make the festival available to everyone who wasn’t able to come.
We wanted to recreate the people, scenery and ambience of the famous Hellfest so users felt they were there in person. We produced an interactive map that by recreating the exact festival with all the features.
And because we wanted to share it with all the people interested by the festival we provide the content experience on a website.
Creative Execution
We recreated the festival in 3D and used 4D cinema to create the first realistic interactive map of a music festival. Each element was in exactly the same place as in real life, so website visitors could wander around the event and explore it for themselves.
The site featured 100 interaction points covering all aspects of the festival: sets with the coverage of 15 concerts,
Ambience : with videos that shows the fantastic scenery of hellfest,
Spectators : we’ve interviewed people directly into the festival to have insights of the metal philosophy… and mostly screams
Exclusive bands interviews of Bullet for my Valentine, the Arrs, the Hellfest founder and lots of others.
Sets from the festival line up as Rammstein, Korn, Napalm Death and 15 other bands.
There were over 60 videos, 120 photographs, 25 GIF, and quotes, to let the users experience the festival as though they were really there.
The project involved creating the 3D interactive map, and then shooting and implementing the site’s content (videos, photos, gifs). Our goal was to bring the whole festival to life.
