The Campaign
During Norway’s annual fundraising event “TV-aksjonen,” our goal was to raise money for the Rainforest Foundation and everyone that inhabit the world’s rainforests. And that’s just the thing: To most people it’s just a forest. In order to engage 100 000 Norwegians in the cause we had to show them that it is so much more! The website let you dive beneath the branches and meet the people, culture, traditions and animals that makes the rainforest the world’s most diverse place. And that is definitely worth protecting.
Creative Execution
Build with web GL the site let you sign up as a “Rainforest guardian” and protect an area of the forest. On your phone you can navigate 360 degrees and check out footage and videos from deep inside the forest. The site went live three weeks before the fundraising event and helped us gather 100 000 guardians. All together 180 million Norwegian kroners were donated - saving an area the size of Norway and Denmark together.
