Brief Explanation
The film opens by stating that viewers don’t care about ads, so our brand didn’t work hard on creating one. The video begins with a generic commercial for dishwasher detergent which our brand has effectively “stolen” and claimed as our own by inserting our product into the scene. The commercial consists of the universally familiar trope of a frustrated housewife being met by a confident spokesperson for a wonderful household product. The detergent is blocked by a disembodied packshot of our product and the dialogue is dubbed over with product related content. The commercial is filled with nonsensical claims and ridiculous subject matter. The film ends by stating that when a product is as tasty as ours we don’t need to work hard at advertising it.
