Brief Explanation
The film portrays Roskilde Festival as a temporary city. A music festival where some of the biggest artists have played, but it’s also a cultural hub filled with arts, sports, camps and parties.
The script tells the story of a multicultural “city”, while the sentences of the script itself is built upon 19 song titles from some of the great bands that have played at the festival over the years. Because the music will always be the foundation and heart of the festival.
The film is compiled of footage from the festivals internal archives. The film begins in the camps where the participants start their festival with parties. It then proceeds to sport, art and other events at the festival. And finally ends with the music part of Roskilde Festival.
