Brief Explanation
We have created a light-hearted yet emotionally charged film to launch the WiFi call technology feature on the new iPhone 7, which is exclusive to Orange.
A teenage boy gets the call he has been waiting for from a beautiful girl, but he can't find a quiet place to talk to her. Facing interruption after interruption, he retreats to the most remote parts of the house, where although the network is just as reliable, he continues to be interrupted by other things. When he finally manages to find a quiet place in the depths of the basement, the long-awaited conversation doesn't go the way he imagined.
The film aims to show that now, no matter from where you make a call, Orange and the WiFi call feature on the new iPhone 7 will let you talk smoothly.
Casting is always key for any film, but even more so for "Hang On". We looked for two teenagers who could sensitively portray all the feelings experienced at that age: hope, doubt, fantasy, anxiety, excitement and disappointment. Finding a credible couple that viewers would find touching, and ensuring that the delicate balance that links them was always maintained, was difficult. Without doubt though, we found two characters who will strike a chord in all of us, and bring back memories of being a teenager. He is sensitive and shy, so full of hope at the beginning of the film, but by the end he is confused and disappointed. Meanwhile she is naturally confident, but still experiences moments of doubt and anxiety. Together they represent the quiescence of adolescence.
