Brief Explanation
Portriat of Mohamed El Bacha, a taxi driver from Essaouira, Morocco. His trusty companion: a Mercedes-Benz 240 D which is over 40 years old and, despite covering millions of kilometres, is still in service. Mohamed El Bacha and his Mercedes-Benz have been working together for 25 years day-in day-out.
Originally our taxi driver was planned to be Hassan. But when the production crew showed up for shooting, he wouldn´t remember that he had agreed earlier. Then Mohamed came to the taxi stand and agreed to shoot the film immediately. Production crew was controlled by local police 38 times during the 2 days of shooting. #permissionisking
