Brief Explanation

The story is a convincing re-creation of Mr. Stewart in his 60s and 70s heyday, in which he is seen winning races and enjoying the jet set Formula 1 lifestyle, while courteously refusing bottles of Heineken every time they are offered to him. And he continues till present day, where the 77 years old legend shows once again the right behaviour of a responsible driver.

Results

The film combines Sir Jackie Stewart historical footage with footage shot in London and surroundings. We researched in Five different fonts for the archive footage but most of the material used comes from Roman Polaski’s film dedicated to SJS: Weekend with a Champion. Most of the effort was in the research , study & assembly of historical footage. Once we screened every single footage, we edited a narrative to tell the “When you drive never drink” story to understand what we needed to redschoot and what we could manipulate in post production. For the set we had to recreated historical scenes to contextualize the product. We worked with 5 Doubles: one for the shoulders, one for the hair, one for the face… and at the end the Post Production made the trick Timing wise, we shat 3 days and at least 10 weeks of editing.
