Brief Explanation

In the film we see different contestants facing the “Most Open Test Drive”. The challenge: the test drivers have to be as radically open as the new smart fortwo cabrio. Connected to a lie detector, the driver has to answer questions in the face of hers or his best friends, beloved ones or family members. Only those who answer these questions openly and honestly have a chance to win because once a lie is exposed by the lie detector, the roof closes and the test drive is over.

Results

We custom built a smart cabrio and made it into the first driving lie detector machine. After weeks of testing, crafting and programming, the car was able to autonomously detect lies and close its roof when the case occurred. The lie detector was a fully functional device that measured the heart rate, breathing rate, skin resistance and anaerobic contraction. A psychological expert supervised the results by helping to read the machine, because each individual reacts in different measurements for a lie. With the casting we faced the challenge of finding real couples, real best friends and real families, who wouldn´t shy away from any daring questions and whose good friendship/bond wouldn’t be compromised by a small embarrassment. The challenge was to combine a highly ambitious technical event with a real human experience, without one dominating the other, thus achieving an entertaining piece of branded content.
