The Campaign

Built with web GL the site let you sign up as a “Rainforest guardian” and protect an area of the forest. On your phone you can navigate 360 degrees and check out footage and videos from deep inside the forest. The site went live three weeks before the fundraising event and helped us gather 100 000 guardians. All together 180 million Norwegian kroners were donated - saving an area the size of Norway and Denmark together.

Creative Execution

Built with web GL the site let you sign up as a “Rainforest guardian” and protect an area of the forest. On your phone you can navigate 360 degrees and check out footage and videos from deep inside the forest. The site went live three weeks before the fundraising event and helped us gather 100 000 guardians. All together 180 million Norwegian kroners were donated - saving an area the size of Norway and Denmark together. An immersive website where users can dive in and actually experience for themselves - that the rainforest is more than trees. It's a home for every living species.

20 million euros collected 100 000 people engaged National and international coverage

Traditionally, parents with children have a soft spot for the rainforest. Endangered animals, hidden tribes and the secrets of the forest are topics that engage. But in order to engage 100 000 people to sign up - we couldn't just create a website for children. As most people think of the rainforest as 'just a forest', we had to get people to explore it themselves. This forest is a home. Where a staggering 250 million people live worldwide (Amazon, Kongo & Papa New Guinea). The natural choice was to create a immersive website where users can dive in and actually experience for themselves - that the rainforest is more than trees. It's a home for every living species.
