Brief Explanation

Introducing our first holiday campaign for H&M, “Come Together”, directed by the extraordinary Wes Anderson and starring the brilliant Adrien Brody. The story takes place on Christmas Eve, with Brody as the conductor on a train full of passengers travelling to join their loved ones for the holiday.

The production was a challenge; creating a feature-film short in three months’ time and bringing the vision and iconic look of Wes Anderson to life was no mean feat. The need to balance a clearly ownable and differentiating aesthetic with a brand that is incredibly focused on great, affordable fashion presented many obstacles throughout production. When should we set the story, and how stylized should our production be when our clothing and fashion is by its very nature modern? By setting this film in a neutral place and time we could achieve this. The marriage of fashion, style and emotional story-telling proved challenging throughout the process, however the combination of a clear concept, strong creative vision meant that the fashion seamlessly integrated into the film – allowing emotional message and fashion sensibility to co-exist in a single, charming short film.
