Brief Explanation

The project gathered more than 50 artists, including Cypha, buttsup, Rex chouk, Julien Calot, Denton, savior elmundo, Thomas Raillard , sr.lasso , brolga , hektad, dizmology... The targets have been replaced & painted over w/ artistic interpretations that turn the menacing black targets into beautiful, colorful, & optimistic art. We turn a canvas for violence into a canvas for hope. We hack a symbol of violence w/ the power of art. Rather than a long exposé, we wanted to reach people’s emotions. Launching on the 25/01 in partnership w/ the New York Society for Ethical Culture, the campaign is an artistic project to raise awareness of the danger of unconscious bias & how it may be perpetuating gun violence against young black males.
