On remote Easter Island. Or Rapa Nui, how the inhabitants call it. I gathered some sea shells and driftwood. That’s when they found me. They talked to me, in a strange yet wonderful language. Then they brought me to their elder. But as I sat down in his tent, looking into his almost blind eyes, the most horrible thing imaginable happened:
