Tell the jury anything relevant about the cinematography.

The story in “Keep the World Flawed” goes back and forth on a 3-year span. The film relies on visual cues to navigate the timeline, allowing the viewer to catch at a glance the evolution of the characters. Wide shots at the beginning and at the end frame the story, providing a sense of timelessness: it feels real and concrete, but it is a universal narrative that anybody can reflect themselves in. As this is a story about small details and how they, too, make us who we are, we live the evolution of the plot through closeups of the characters. The timeline is dictated by the on-screen presence (or absence) of the physical flaws: a pair of wide ears and a crooked nose become pivotal elements in each scene. This is enhanced by lighting cues that ensure a distinct feel between key scenes.

Write a short summary of what happens in the film

This is the story of a boy and a girl who meet and fall in love right after they both choose to get rid of their very obvious flaws. In a short-movie we discover that, eventually, our flaws will always be stronger than any of our attempts to hide them. So why not embrace, enjoy them and keep the world as it’s meant to be: beautifully flawed?
