Write a short summary of what happens in the film

Seat belt use, helmet use, sober driving … Today these safety habits seem self-evident to everyone, but that wasn't always the case. This film digs through historical video archives that show the ongoing misconceptions and unhappiness of the French public, who have all too often resisted new safety measures, forgetting that Sécurité Routière's sole concern has always been the preservation of their lives and that of their loved ones.

Cultural/Context information for the jury

Beginning July 2018, the authorized speed on 400,000 kms of two-way roads without a dividing line will be reduced to 80 km/h. All too predictably, this new road safety initiative is far from eliciting unanimity within the French public.
