A young girl tells a story about us: The Indoor Generation: A generation, that spends more than 90% of life indoors. We left nature behind and went indoors to enjoy books, music, mobile devices and video games. We replaced daylight with artificiallight and built our homes so well, that bad air cannot get out. We see how the lack of daylight and fresh air affects us: Problem with breathing, sleeping, allergies and depression. She reveals that inside air is 5 times more polluted than the air outside, lack of daylight can affect children’s learning, millions of homes are unhealthy to live in, kids room have the highest toxicants in the house, moldy and damp homes increase the risk of asthma by 40%. She encourages us to let daylight and fresh air to our lives again, because small changes make a huge difference – and shows us where to learn more.
