Write a short summary of what happens in the film

We follow Aurora as she travels home to her grandmother for Christmas. She thinks she is part of a “normal” documentary about holiday travels. What she does not know, is that we have made her grandmother a part of the journey, quite literally. At the airport she discovers her grandmothers house in an Avinor holiday ad. Grandmother is the model in a perfume-ad in the tax-free shop, and at the gate, the destination is not “Tromso”, but “Grandmother”. On the plane, coffee is served from Grandmothers own coffee cup, and upon arrival they are greeted by a Christmas choir.

Cultural/Context information for the jury

BACKGROUND: Avinor is a state owned company that operates 45 airports across Norway. They are responsible for both air traffic control and the commercial services provided at all airports. PROBLEM: Avinor as a brand is not that well known to the travellers. People don’t realise Avinor´s contribution to society, or that Avinor actually hosts their trips, making it possible to fly all around Norway – a country with challenging topography and vast distances. INSIGHT AND IDEA: During Christmas, Avinor wanted to do something about this. In a period when people make the most important journey of the year: to their loved ones. We used Avinors own channels to ask the passengers who they looked forward to seeing this Christmas. Among more than 5000 replies, we found Aurora.
