Cultural/Context information for the jury
Unbeknow to most of us, one of the biggest water wasters happens to be right under our very noses ... in our plates. So we decided to expose this reality
To be more precise, on average, it takes approximately 7900 litres of water to produce 1 single kilogram of meat. What this means is that our meat consumption is one "if not" the biggest threat to the remaining water resources available on Earth.
As the barbecue season was upon us and the scent of grilled meat starts to fill the air, L214 launches #7900litres : a campaign to raise awareness on the dreadful impact our meat consumption has.
Through a series of meat-shaped swimming pools images, the association exposes the shocking environmental impact that eating a simple steak, a chicken leg or a slice of bacon can have.
