Cultural/Context information for the jury
The loss of the global honeybee population is one of the biggest dangers facing us humans. Without bees pollinating crops and plants, the whole food chain is threatened - which would affect all living beings.
Saltå Kvarn is Sweden’s most sustainable food company. They produce fair, certified and organic foods, free from artificial additives and toxins. They also have programs made to encourage even more responsibility among their farmers - they pay more for produce that are grown in a way that not only is organic, but also has a positive impact on the environment, for example through providing habitats for bees.
We wanted to communicate this serious matter in a fun and charming way, to make people understand the severity of the issue, but without pointing any fingers.
So, let's talk about the birds and the bees....
