Tell the jury about the art direction.

To excite fans ahead of the historic Wimbledon Tennis Championship for 2019, we created three striking posters under the title ‘Some Stories Live Forever’. Featuring tennis greats Althea Gibson, Arthur Ashe & Martina Navratilova, we seamlessly merged historical Wimbledon news stories with era-defining moments of human endeavour from throughout the 21st century - creating a set of unique and evocative visuals. The work was brought to life with authentic, hand-letterpressed typography, referencing the design styles of each historical news period; creating a timeless look that was true to each era.
