Cultural / Context information for the jury

This year Porsche took a brave new step into the world of E-Mobility and launched their first all-electric Porsche, the Taycan. The car was both an engineering, and a communications challenge for Porsche. Many were unaware of it. And it had to convince both petrol-heads AND people with little experience or interest in the Porsche brand, that an all-electric car could still feel like a Porsche. But first, we had to tease the world, and let them know that electricity, and Porsche were about to come together to create something special. These prints were crafted for a range of different audience types to be placed in relevant media spaces. They were composed as love letters from Porsche to electricity. Letting it know that it was appreciated, and that we weren’t going to let its contributions to society go unrewarded.

Hey electricity, We owe you big time. We owe you for cool air and screaming rock when we’re on the road. Drive-in theaters and autoshows when we’re not. You’re the car wash and tow driver combined. For decades you’ve made driving more comfortable for us. Now we’ll make driving thrilling for you. It won’t pay back all you’ve done for us. But it’s one hell of a start. Something wild and fierce, with performance in its blood. Something that will jump-start your soul. The first all-electric Porsche coming soon. The Taycan. Soul, electrified.
