Write a short summary of what happens in the film

In these ASMR Shower and Shavetorials, a confident young man shares his tips and tricks for shaving a variety of areas on the body. He is not a shredded, overly-fit guy - nor is he especially good looking. However his nice, friendly demeanor is something most are able to relate to. He has an air of self-assuredness that is oddly attractive, as he uses the rich, foamy lather of Lynx 2 in 1 Shower & Shave Foam; which feels as smooth as it sounds. We don’t want to spoil it for you, but people end up clean, shaven and surprisingly liberated.

Cultural / Context information for the jury

It was the start of 2018 when LYNX/AXE, the world’s largest male grooming business, rounded a decade of stagnant growth on a global level - particularly in the UK. The ‘Find Your Magic’ initiative launched in 2015 offered the brand a modern masculinity reboot, however engaging young men with body sprays remained an increasingly difficult task. It was understood 14-21 year old males were simply avoiding product ads, while increasingly gravitating to other deodorant formats and grooming behaviours, which the brand was not yet recognised for. With that in mind, their first shower gel made for body shaving would be launched: LYNX/AXE Shower & Shave Foam.

Open on a wide of clean bathroom with two mics either side of the tub. TITLES: “LYNX ASMR SHOWER AND SHAVETORIALS. Episode 2 - Balls” Medium shot floor level: Our host, we’re introduced to him upside down greeting us through his legs. The ‘balls’ are out of focus close to the lens in the foreground, like a hairy eclipse. HOST (whispers) “Baaaaaallzzzz” A long pause with him looking into the camera. Our host enters frame as if coming back up from his weird position. Medium shot of him looking into the mirror (mics in): “I am here to show you how to shave your bean bags in the shower. How to get your little fury nut sack as fresh and smooth as the day you where born. Unless you where a particularly hairy baby. In which case, you have my sympathy.” Cut to a wide as he walks towards, then enters, the bathtub. “Right, let’s cross to the shower.” Close-up on him (from floating wall) as he turns on the water. We hear and see the soft sound of the shower running. Trickle trickle. Soft splashing to break the flow + inserts on tap, shower head with water flowing out, water coming down the drain
. Him enjoying the shower. He taps on the mirror for a bit indulging in the sound his fingers make on it. Then he adjusts the angle of the mirror on the side of the bathtub until he’s satisfied. “Now, If you’re like me and you don’t have eyes in the back of your balls, I find a mirror can come in very handy.” Wide: He bends and adjusts the mirror on the side of the bathtub. “Oh, what view!”

 “Excuse me while I just grab my balls.” We lose his reflection for a second, until we see something that could be balls. Wtf?! We cut back to the medium (mics in) We realise he’s pulled up some hairy coconuts hanging / wobbling on them. As our eyes adjust we see they’re not real. He carries on as if this is the most normal thing in the world. Remember, depending on the fluffiness of your nut wig, you want to trim before you get started. These are some balls I trimmed earlier, aren’t they lovely?” Jarring close-up of the balls as he’s softly stroking them in different angles. He grabs the AXE 2in1 Shower and Shave Foam. We see the foaming 2in1 in his hand. We hear the shhhh of the foam. He slowly pats it between his hands. Splut splut. We hear it bubbling between his fingers. Cut to a close-up of the ‘balls’. He slowly dabs foam on them. We hear the fut fut of the dabbing as the foam hits ‘skin’. More fizzing noises. “Mmmmmm feels tickly. And cold. But also smooth and refreshing. Pull gently on the bottom of your man sack, so that everything is nice and taught. Take a clean sharp razor. Not the one that you’d use for your face. This is gonna be just for your balls. Your ‘Ball-zer’. Cut to medium of his stomach up. We hear the scratchy sound of hair and razor meet with gentle movements and see the fake balls being shaved slowly. “You got to be slow and gentle. You don’t want to risk future generations do you?” He switches mics and starts shaving from the bottom up. “From the underside, go with the grain of the balls. Gently now.” Cut to full frontal of him in the shower. The ‘balls’ are successfully hairless with a clean fresh glow. He proudly strokes them looking straight into the camera. We hear the amplified sounds of it. “How smooth does this feel? Freshly shaved balls.” We cut to him enjoying a second rinse. Happily cleaning his smooth balls. Cut back to a wide of him standing in the shower with the coconuts in his hands. He thinks about the words he just said. “No two balls are the same. You know yours better than I know yours. And I know mine better than you know mine.” We cut to packshot. A hand comes in dabbing some foam. HOST WHISPERING ‘New AXE 2in1 Shower & Shave. Feels as smooooth as it sounds.’
