Write a short summary of what happens in the film

The film shows the everyday lives of a group of young people in their 20s. The music is the song: “Yesterday when I was young” by Charles Aznavour, giving the film a certain poetry and timelessness. We follow 3 friends and watch them being carefree, happy and highly ingenious when it comes to doing or paying less. We see them hacking life in many different and funny ways. At the end a super appears: You're 20. Make the most of it. Great train deals all over France.

Cultural / Context information for the jury

OuiGo is the French low-cost high-speed train service. They have great deals for people in their twenties, offering them the possibility of travelling around France. Twentysomethings always want to spend less but live more. In France, one very famous singer sang about this youth and its attitude to life: Charles Aznavour. He passed away at the end of 2018. We wanted to pay tribute to this French music legend and encourage young people, who he loved to sing about, to travel and live by taking advantage of the great deals on offer from OuiGo.

Tell the jury about the choice of music track.

The music track is essential to this film. It’s a very famous and old French song: “Yesterday when I was young” by Charles Aznavour, one of France’s greatest singers of all time, who died last year. The film shows the life of a group of present-day twentysomethings and the anachronism of the old song evokes emotion, making us realise than even if times change, the deep feelings of young people remain the same. The film directly addresses the target audience, people in their 20s, but it doesn’t stop there, it also talks to anyone who has been 20, creating a transgenerational film which becomes something to share.
