Write a short summary of what happens in the film

Here’s something everybody can agree on: the main problem on the road is other people. Not you. The others. A voiceover delivers an absurd rant against all the others on the road, while the camera takes us into a quiet journey among all these “others” who look a lot like us. The pictures are taken from the points of view of invisible drivers, creating a gallery of portraits in motion. The ending text reminds us that we are all “others” and we should protect each other.

Cultural / Context information for the jury

To promote its new technology label IQ.DRIVE, Volkswagen had to talk about road safety in its own way. Which means in a human, understanding way. Most of the time, advertisers highlight the safety these technologies provide to you. We chose a new perspective. What about the safety they provide for all the others around? Starting with a global insight: on the road, we blame other people for all. But we all make mistakes. To make the roads safer, we should do more to protect those around us.
