Cultural / Context information for the jury

First we took photos of people with different disabilities and photos of the different prostheses. After that we took photos of our famous people standing in the same position. When we had everything the retusch work begun to match everyone with each other, with skin tones, wrinkles, bodystructure, or how the clothes looks without any arms and leggs etc. To see these famous people as disable had a very big emotional impact on people who saw the campaign. The view on people with disabilities in Sweden is both traditional and conventional. This has resulted in ignorance, beliefs and prejudice among employers. Very few people with disabilities get a job and those who do often get less qualified jobs. Our campaign is aimed at these conventions in order to challenge employers to look for competence. The idea for this campaign was to pick five famous people in Sweden. The best in their field. Then we retouched them with a disability and a controversial question. All the outdoor unit were explained by the same line: Give more people a fair chance at görplats.se. This is a website where you can learn more about hiring people with disabilities.
