Write a short summary of what happens in the film

Two 10-year-old girls meet on a school exchange trip between Britain and France in 1990. We follow the two as their friendship develops and blossoms into a beautiful relationship over the next 30 years. All the while, the iconic Renault Clio is with them on their journey through life as it too blossoms throughout the 30-year period to become the modern icon it is today.

Cultural / Context information for the jury

The student exchange programme between Britain and France lets children from both sides of the English channel visit each other’s homes for up to one week as a language and cultural exchange initiative. This initiative has begun many long-lasting Anglo-French friendships through the decades.
