Write a short summary of what happens in the film

We open on a guy in parking lot. He can’t find his car. An old hippie appears and starts telling our protagonist how he lost his van in 1967 and has been there ever since. Soon other ageing characters in a similar predicament appear. An aging roller girl with leotard; An old businessman holding an 80’s phone; A lady pushing a shopping cart with her middle-aged son sitting inside and a middle-aged man wearing a retro shell suit and walking a skeleton dog. The hippie tries to convince our perplexed protagonist that it’s not so bad living in there and the group of misfits start chanting ‘one of us, one of us…’ Our hero gets out his phone and uses the Find My Car app. A Kia Sorento unlocks in the background. The driver casually walks over to it and takes off. The hippie and his friends look on, open-mouthed.

"One of Us" We open on a guy in his late 30’s walking through a large and shadowy parking lot. He seems to be having trouble finding his car. Suddenly out of the shadows we hear a voice. Hippie: Hey…hey! An old and mysterious man appears and scuttles over to him. It’s an old hippie still wearing his clothes from the 60’s. Hippie: You lost your car? I lost my car in 1967… Our protagonist looks at him with surprise and confusion. Hippie: It was the summer of love haha. My van was all set to go to a festival man… Out of nowhere, an aging roller girl complete with leotard and bubblegum, skates into view and circles our perplexed protagonist. Hippie: And then, I forgot which zone I put her in… From another direction an old business yuppie holding a huge 80’s phone and wearing suspenders emerges. The hippie continues talking as if this is a completely normal situation. Hippie: Anyway, I’ve been here ever since… From behind our protagonist, an old lady, still dressed in 60s gear appears pushing a shopping cart with her middle-aged son sitting inside with kids’ clothes on. Cut back to the hippie. Hippie: It’s not so bad…you get used to it after a while… Our protagonist looks around, unnerved by this weird ragtag bunch of misfits. Another middle-aged character appears, wearing a retro shell suit, a mullet and a moustache. He holds a leash with the skeleton of a dog attached to it. Hippie: The sooner you accept your new circumstances, the easier it will be…You’re one of us now. The hippie and the all the other strange characters begin to chant in unison. Strangers: One of us! One of us! One of us! One of us! One of us! One of us. One of… Suddenly our protagonist gets out his phone and presses a button on the screen. A beeping noise sounds and we see a car light up in the background. The group of weirdos falls silent. The protagonist casually strolls over to his Kia Sorento and hops in. He turns on voice commands with the press of a button. Kia Driver: Play 60’s rock. Some rock music kicks in and we see the Sorento drive smoothly out of the parking lot, as the group of misfits look on open-mouthed. Super: Keep them waiting. Super: The new Kia Sorento.
