Finns have a long tradition of building simple DIY nest boxes for small nesting birds. The Finnish law allows installing these nest boxes almost anywhere in the nature, including public recreational areas.

In September, McDonald’s gave out 1,400 DIY nest boxes for Happy Meal buyers. The nest box kits were assembled by the customers and installed into the nature.
