Write a short summary of what happens in the film

The animations of all three films follow the same idea. Starting briefly with an image that at first shows no sign of danger, the animation then shows the tragedy: chunks of the iceberg break off, deforestation threatens the rainforest, menacing wildfires approach the city. Finally the pay-off: a Cartesian plane forms to reveal that nature itself is depicting the unsettling statistics of the global climate crisis. Thus bringing back urgency to the numbers we have all known for so long but now finally can grasp – and change.

Cultural / Context information for the jury

During the run-up to the 2021 German federal elections, the WWF sought to make the climate crisis the most relevant election topic. The world’s leading nature conservation NGO therefore launched a national awareness campaign that informed the decision-making process of voters and politicians by letting nature speak for itself.
