Write a short summary of what happens in the film

Nightlife as we knew it might have been on a long pause. But that didn’t stop us from keeping the spirit alive. In the film, we see people putting on their best outfits and their best behaviour while doing the most basic and mundane activities, like walking the dog, going to the supermarket, doing the laundry or taking out the trash to Vera Lynn’s track “We’ll meet again”. Nightlife lives on.

Cultural / Context information for the jury

After a year of pandemic, rules are very different in many countries. While the “stay at home” curfews relaxed a bit, nightlife is almost inexistent with all the clubs and bars closed at night. Mundane things like going to the supermarket, taking out the trash or taking out the dog are the new legal ways to go out at night, to see and be seen. So people took advantage of that and kept the spirit of nightlife alive.
