Anna is forced to move back home and is faced with the difficulties of living with her mother at a time in her life, when she's trying to become an adult of her own. Juggling work, relations, and old habits, both Anna and her mom struggle to make their everyday come together.

Cultural / Context information for the jury

One of many covid related backlashes has been that young adults were forced to move back with their parents. In this honest and subtle portrayal of a complex mother-daughter relationship, Nivea wanted to touch upon the subject in a way that highlighted the emotional connection and omitted any forced product placements as part of a long-term branding effort to connect a younger audience with their brands. It is unique not only in its emittance of product but also in its use of the global hit song "Skinny Love" by Birdy.

The director not only went above and beyond to create a story with two complex characters, reconfiguring and outlining a dynamic storyline with authentic human portrayals, he also committed himself to the editing and project as whole, so much so, that he in fact facilitated the negotiations of the hit song used for the film ("Skinny Love" by Birdy). Moreover, his unique ability to understand what mattered for the story and the audience, meant that he was constantly pushing the scenes - even during the shoot - to ensure it all had value. His understanding of balance and his abilities with the cast and crew, for a high-pressure fast-moving shoot, were just incredible. Ultimately, the result was delicate and intricate in a way that put the story on a different level.
