Write a short summary of what happens in the film

The film shows three different representatives for foreign workers in Norway, in different industries, who reacts with both curiosity and disbelief to the strange situations they witness. They see a co-worker coming to work on to bikes, a work shift leader wearing two sets of glasses and to watches and co-workers drinking from two cups at the same time and wearing two pairs of jeans simultaneously. It's obviously something they are missing out on. In the end we see one of our main characters leaving the workplace while pondering over what he's just been witnessing. And as he looks up, he is waved good bye by a colleague. The colleague sitting in a car with another, almost identical car on its roof. The end message comes on. "You could also be entitled to twice as much"

Cultural / Context information for the jury

We wanted to signal to the target group, workers from Romania, Bulgaria, Lithuania and Estonia coming to in Norway, that the topic of their workers rights was taken seriously here in Norway. To do that, we needed our film to ensure them that we understand them and tick on their motivation for coming here. And although money is the main reason for all of them, many of them could be entitled to a minimum wage that is almost double what they already have. Working closely with representatives from the industries and the different countries from an early stage, we could make honest and believable characters within the storyline – while also avoiding cultural pitfalls. As an example: In some of the markets, people smiling or laughing in such situations could lead to these people being interpreted as “dumb or less intelligent” – the opposite of what we would want.
