Cultural / Context information for the jury

Fresh vegetables are slowly disappearing from the menus of millennials and gen Z. Today the popularity of home delivery has reached new heights. Most of the meals that are home delivered by brands like Uber Eats and Deliveroo are fast food. We wanted young people to experience that preparing a meal at home can be as fast and easy as ordering food online. To achieve this, we created a unique brand experience: we asked them to bring empty fast food packs trade it for an easy-to-cook veggie meal box.

We wanted youngsters to reconnect with cooking fresh vegetables. We launched a large online/social media campaign that urged them to bring empty fast food packs (pizza boxes, hamburger packs, noodle pots, empty cups, kebab wraps, etc.) to our Fast ’n Good pop-up events. There they could swap their trash for a 100% veggie meal box. We went on tour in 5 different Belgian cities. This way, youngsters discovered how easy and fast a veggie meal can be prepared. We proved that cooking your own veggies can be as convenient as ordering food online and waiting for you home delivery to arrive.
