The Campaign
We have transformed the weather forecast TV program into a setting which looked exactly like from the 70’s.
Creative Execution
Our aim was to be as authentic as possible. We have changed the modern digital studio into an analog one with a printed background. The program started with the original signature tune from the communist era and the young sexy female moderator was replaced by a senior man who was actually presenting weather forecast programs back in the 70’s. No green screen was used, only hand cut-out paper models on magnets representing different weather conditions.
The „retro“ weather forecast was viewed by more than 370 000 people
(+ 22,6% avg.GRPs)
The idea impressed cooperating TV group so much they offered free media support through their channels. Its execution made it an activity that people will remember. It generated positive buzz and comments on social media and even spontaneous PR articles. People got curious about the new beer.
To kick-off the campaign for a new beer which is brewed according to the brand’s oldest recipe from 1973 we have transormed the weather forecast TV program into a setting which looked exactly like from the 70’s.
Insights, Strategy and the Idea
We launched the new beer from an „old era“ in one of the most watched TV programs in Slovakia. For one time only we have changed the set and moderator into a „retro“ look from the 70s and reached vast population.
