Write a short summary of what happens in the film
Everyone’s mad about something. If you have eyes and ears you’ve seen it for yourself – online, on the streets, and on tv. Divisiveness is everywhere and things have gotten so out of hand, we’re becoming numb to it. But our fighting is doing real damage to the world. We can keep arguing over who’s right and watch the world crumble, or we could ask ourselves, ‘could I be wrong?’ We don't have to agree on everything, but if we keep an open mind, maybe things could change for the better.
Tell the jury about the elements of sound design.
For this Coca Cola spot, we were tasked with bringing the entire world alive. With such a visually post-heavy film we picked away at the sound design over many weeks, creating the sounds of the building smashes, collapses, road cracks and sonic booms as well as each of the video game characters. Great care and attention taken to both the larger sound design moments as well as foleying every bit of plaster and debris that fell. This then continued onto the mixing stage, finding a balance between the storytelling sound design and the chosen music track.
