Please tell us about the social behaviour that inspired the work
The rivalry between Burger King and McDonald’s spans decades, and is well-known around the world. The creative idea turned this relationship into celebration of love.
The kiss between two fictional male characters was also a way to show what real same-sex couples have to face every day. The painting earned praise, but also uncovered the discriminatory attitudes towards same-sex couples and their public displays of affection.
Love conquers all was published during Helsinki Pride week.
