The Campaign

Branded Entertainment is giving its first steps in Portugal. There are some big telecommunication companies and some small businesses producing content in that matter, but there are a lot of things still to be done.

Results

We’re challenged to create awareness for the cause "Stop Torture”, from Amnesty International Portugal. In order to do that, we decided to build a musical instrument from several instruments used in torture methods. If the suffering of torture victims wasn't being heard, we decided to amplify it so everyone would listen to this call for help.

Musicians and artists were invited to build this new musical instrument. Hammers, barrels, knives, pliers, boiling, battery, ropes, were put together to make this sound echoing in the streets and on the website soundsfromtorture.com.

The sound caught the ears of musicians and the press, who helped amplifying it. While the musicians played the drum set, the press made it sound louder. And now Amnesty International has a new instrument to help victims of torture and abuse be heard across Portugal.
